Internship Programme: Design and Launch of the Institute’s Official Website
Institute for Inclusive Growth and Development (IIGD), Dharwad — Remote
The Institute for Inclusive Growth and Development (IIGD), Dharwad, conducted its first Full Stack Web Development internship from 8 June 2026 to 31 July 2026. Darshan P Pawar, a student of the Bachelor of Technology programme in Computer Science and Engineering at PES University, Bengaluru, was engaged as a Full Stack Web Developer Intern and worked remotely under the guidance of Ramappa Savadatti, Member Secretary of the Institute.
The internship covered the design, development, deployment, and search engine optimisation of the Institute’s official website, https://iigd-dharwad.org, which was completed and launched successfully within the internship period. This is the first online home of the Institute and brings its work together in one public place.
During the internship, the complete website was designed and developed using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. An archive of the Institute’s activities was built with photo galleries for each programme, and the Institute’s publications, press coverage, and profiles of the office bearers were digitised and published. The site was then deployed on a custom domain, with Google Search Console monitoring set up so that the Institute can be found through search.
The internship provided practical exposure to institutional web development, content structuring, and digital outreach, while giving the Institute a permanent platform to share its research, events, and publications with students, researchers, and the wider public.
On satisfactory completion of the assignment, the Institute awarded a Certificate of Internship (Ref No. IIGD-DWD2026/INT/001) to Darshan P Pawar on 7 August 2026, signed by R. B. Savadatti, Member Secretary, IIGD, Dharwad.
