World Environment Day Celebration and Tree Plantation Programme

On the occasion of World Environment Day celebrated on June 5, the Institute for Inclusive Growth and Development (IIGD), Dharwad, organized a tree plantation programme at Government Model Primary School, Tadasinakoppa, Dharwad. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students and the local community about environmental conservation and the importance of protecting nature through afforestation activities.

The programme was presided over by Mr. Ningappa Koliwad, Principal of the school. Mr. Sulaiman Mitaigar, Physical Instructor of the school, and Mr. Neelakantagouda Halappagouda served as the coordinators of the event and played an important role in organizing the programme successfully.

Dr. S. V. Hanagodimath, President of IIGD, attended the programme as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering on the importance of nature and the urgent need to protect the environment by planting and nurturing trees. He emphasized the role of students and society in conserving ecological balance and promoting sustainable environmental practices.

Ramappa Savadatti, Secretary of IIGD, along with other members of the Institute, actively participated in the tree plantation drive. More than 20 saplings were planted within the school premises with the support and participation of the school staff and enthusiastic students.

The programme was conducted successfully and helped create awareness among students regarding environmental protection, the significance of tree plantation, and the responsibility of preserving nature for future generations.
