Special Workshop
KLE Society's P. C. Jabin Science College, Hubballi
On 19/01/2024, a special workshop was organised by the KLE's Society's P. C. Jabin Science College in association with the Department of Statistics and in collaboration with IIGD. The guest speaker on the occasion was Dr. Balakrishna Bendre, Member, IIGD. He was also the resource person for the workshop and delivered a special lecture on the topic, "Statistical Survey and Data Analysis". The special lecture was also attended by HOD, Department of Statistics Dr. C. M. Math, Secretary of IIGD Ramappa Savadatti, and a large number of enthusiastic students.
The guest speaker spoke on the topic of the workshop and delivered major insights on the importance of research, especially with regard to social science research. Further expanding on the main topic, the speaker also highlighted the importance of primary data collection, especially through modern techniques, and explained the working of the data collection tool Kobo Toolbox. He also provided hands-on experience to the students.
