Special Seminar
KLE Society's P. C. Jabin Science College, Hubballi
Special seminar was organised by the Institute in the KLE's Society's P. C. Jabin Science College in collaboration with the Department of Statistics and in association with the School of Life Science on 22/11/2023. The guest speaker on the occasion was Professor Rudra Narayana Mishra, Assistant Professor, Gujarat Institute of Development Research, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He delivered a special lecture on the topic of the seminar, "Statistical Study: Environment and Health Linkage". The special lecture was also attended by Principal Dr. L. D. Horakeri, Organising Secretary Miss Shruti Hiremath, HOD Department of Statistics Dr. C. M. Math, Secretary of IIGD Ramappa Savadatti, Members of IIGD Balakrishna Bendre and Shanmukha Hiremath, and a large number of enthusiastic students.
The programme created a meaningful academic discussion on the relationship between environmental conditions and public health, and it encouraged students to think more critically about the social dimensions of statistical study.
